As a dental team, we are breaking down some of the dental products you see every day and ranking them based on what actually matters: effectiveness, science, practicality, and whether we’d genuinely recommend them to our own patients.
And yes, I know some of these rankings might start an argument. That’s half the fun. 😅
Remember: the “best” product isn’t always the most expensive, the newest, or the one with the fanciest packaging. The best product is the one that actually helps you stay consistent and keep your mouth healthy.

Dentistry is about so much more than teeth. It’s about people, trust, doing what’s right, and surrounding yourself with others who genuinely care about the patients they serve.
We’re incredibly grateful to have built a relationship with the team at Smile Doctors—people who share our commitment to patient care, ethics, excellence, and a genuine love for what we do.
But what makes this relationship even more meaningful is who they are outside of the dentistry: kind, genuine people who make collaboration easy and remind us how special this profession can be when great teams support one another.
We’re proud to work alongside people who believe that great dentistry starts with great relationships.
Grateful for the friendship. Grateful for the collaboration. And most importantly, grateful for the opportunity to take care of our Austin community together. 🦷❤️
Some cases mean a little more. 🇺🇸
This is one of them.
Our patient is a fellow veteran who was born with multiple missing teeth. At one point in his journey, he was told that replacing those teeth with implants was essentially “cosmetic” and not necessary for function.
I couldn’t disagree more.
Teeth aren’t just about how you look when you smile. They allow us to eat, speak, function, and live with confidence.
And after years of workarounds, limitations, and being told “no,” it was finally time for a different answer.
Yes. We can help.
Some cases are more than dentistry. This was one of our “Service Through Smiles” cases—an opportunity for two practices to come together and care for a fellow veteran.
Dr. Kwon and the team at Healing Tooth, alongside Dr. Troconis and the incredible team at Central Texas Oral Surgery Associates, came together to provide four dental implants and the prosthetic treatment needed to rebuild what had been missing for most of his life.
As a veteran myself, there is something especially meaningful about being able to serve someone who also served. A reminder that sometimes dentistry can give someone back much more than teeth.
