Planning your wedding at Canyonwood Ridge? Hereâs how couples are using the space in unforgettable ways:
1. Oversized Bridal Suite â Glam Time
Photographers love the natural light and neutral tones, while brides love peeking out the large windows to watch their guests arrive. Itâs one of the few bridal suites spacious enough for larger wedding parties so plan to spend your morning getting glam onsite.
2. Front Circle Drive â Baraat
The front circle drive sets the stage for a lively baraat procession or an epic sparkler send-off.
3. Pergola â Mandap or Chuppah
The venueâs gorgeous pergola is included and serves as the ideal framework for a mandap (Hindu weddings), a chuppah (Jewish weddings), or any custom ceremony structure.
4. Oak Grove â Formal Photos
Just outside the bridal suite, the oak grove is a favorite spot for first looks, wedding party portraits, and family photos.
5. Main Hallway â Seating Chart & Photos
A wide hallway runs through the center of the property, connecting the sanctuary, restrooms, and reception hall. We love how this couple transformed the large, neutral space into a backdrop for their seating chart and engagement photo display.
Major shout out to the team at -- these images are gorgeous!

As a wedding planner, I often ask my couples to list their top spending priorities. The most popular categories are great music, full bar and awesome food, and photography.
What are your top three spending categories?
Over the next five years, researchers predict more couples calling the shots (and footing the bill). Unlike previous generations, many couples in the U.S. are covering their own wedding costs.
With dual-income households also on the rise, couples are investing in what truly matters to themâlike high-quality catering and destination wedding locations.

Hosting an event at South Congress Hotel? Youâre in for a stylish and seamless experienceâif you know how to use the space right.
Hereâs how to take full advantage of this versatile venue and plan a rehearsal dinner that flows perfectly:
1. Courtyard First Look
The open-air courtyard is a central featureâperfect for pre-dinner mingling and welcome drinks. Its layout works beautifully with a variety of seating styles, whether youâre imagining long family-style tables or cozy clusters.
2. Indoor-Outdoor Flow
The effortless movement between interior spaces and the courtyard ensures guests wonât feel stuck in one placeâno bottlenecks here. Guests can glide from cocktails in the courtyard to dinner inside, or dance back and forth all night long.
3. Toasts with a View
Donât overlook the elevated stair areaâitâs the perfect built-in stage for toasts and short speeches.
4. Weather-Ready Options
Expecting unpredictable weather? The courtyard can be fully tented. Youâll still get the open-air feel, without worrying about rain.
5. Room for the Afterparty
Inside the hotel, thereâs ample space for a DJ or full bandâso your dinner can evolve naturally into a dance party, no need to change venues.
6. Custom Layouts
From banquet seating to lounge pockets, the space is super flexible and the hotelâs minimalist design adapts to your vision.
Pro Tip: Project monogram on the large outside wall in the courtyard for a unique personal touch.

Austin wedding vendors -- how are you are feeling these days? Is your business impacted by the tariff economic climate? Are you seeing increased prices from your suppliers?
It's being reported that U.S. tariffs on imported goods like flowers and gowns are driving up costs by 10â35%, but I'm not sure how the Austin market is responding.
Please share if you have any local insight!

Woodbine Mansion offers many beautiful spacesâ but without the right event layout and flow, itâs easy to end up with bottlenecks, overheated guests, or missed moments.
If you are considering Woodbine, or know someone who is, check out these 10 event flow tips (and photos from ) for planning a seamless celebration:
1. Wisteria Ceremony
Most couples say âI doâ under the west-side wisteria arbor, but check photos from your date in past years to see how much is bloomingâit changes throughout the season.
2. Restroom Routing
As guests arrive itâs common to ask for the restroom. If you want to keep the mansion as a surprise reveal, direct guests to the newly constructed restrooms behind the house.
3. Glam Time
The upstairs space is hugeâplenty of room for both sides to get ready comfortably all morning and early afternoon.
4. First Look Vibes
The garden behind the house offers gorgeous large rose bushes and optimal lighting for the first look or family portraits.
5. Sun Room Moments
The black and white tile room is ideal for pre-ceremony gatherings. Be sure to incorporate this unique space into your event timeline.
6. Front Porch Corner
The front porch is ideal for a large bar because guests can access it during cocktail hour, and the dinner reception. Pay for one gorgeous bar and use it twice.
7. House Flow
After the ceremony, guests will be eager to get inside. Place one bar towards the back of the mansion so guests walk through, instead of bottlenecking near the entrance.
8. Cozy Lounge Vibes
The mansion offers lounge furniture for rent, and guests love relaxing downstairs between events. Itâs a good investment if it works for your budget.
9. East Lawn
The East Lawn is perfect for receptionsâflat ground and green turf year-round!
10. Cold Sparks
The venue has strict rules on exits. Consider cold sparks for a dramatic, photo-worthy send-off.

The secret to a photogenic wedding setup? Prioritize an experienced wedding planner and photographer who know the venue well. I get that sounds obvious, but hear me out:
I've planned over 30 weddings at Laguna Gloria. Here are my favorite event flow tips...
1. Hydration Station
Guests appreciate a welcome drink at any outdoor venue, especially here. Set the table near the entrance so guests cool off before the ceremony.
2. Bar Inside the Villa
May through September, place your main bar inside to provide shade for your bartenders and encourage guests to explore inside.
3. Accent Pillows
The glass-enclosed alcove is an ideal spot to incorporate accent pillows in your wedding colors.
4. Cake Inside -> Fountain
It's critical the cake is inside so it doesn't melt or attract bugs. At the end of dinner, move it to the fountain so all guests can witness the iconic wedding moment.
5. Dinner on the Path
The long gravel path can fit nineteen (19) 8-foot tables on the level gravel. This setup works for a family-style dinner or plated meal. I do not recommend buffet at this venue.
6. Shade Seating
Some spots on the path get blasted with sun. Place older guests in the areas guaranteed to offer shade.
7. Sneaky Sunset
The fountain is an ideal toast locationâslightly elevated so everyone can see the speaker. However, the sun sets in the west (behind the hills) so assume it will get dark 20 minutes before whatever the internet says.
8. Patio Dancing
The concrete patio is ideal for dancingâespecially if you have a DJ. If it rains, the raised concrete patio is your best bet for avoiding mud.

đ¨SHARE with anyone getting married in the next year! The looming tariff war with the EU could have huge consequences for the US wedding market. Trumpâs current threat is a 30% tariff on most goods imported from the EU. He is meeting with EU officials this weekend for additional negotiations. Wine importers and distributors in the U.S. are particularly worried, as European wine accounts for a large portion of their sales.
So if certain brands are important to you, stock up now.
