Long time no see! I hope everyone is surviving the summer heat. Want to be jealous? We are quite cool while visiting my dad in England where the weather is 67F and blustery!

We spent a little time picking strawberries in the Kent countryside. Look at how beautifully red and juicy they are. No filters on the strawberry photos! This is our first time picking them 'table' style and I must say my back was quite pleased I didn't have to bend constantly! Apparently it helped to reduce the number of bugs on the plants and therefore reduces the need for pesticides.

We finished our visit with citrus cake, local icecream and and cold water. Delicious!

What have y'all been upto this summer??

We started this small endeavor in the aftermath of George Floyd's death, seeking to be part of healing and change in our immediate locale. Today, our 16th bake for done. ,we have reached a milestone for our little page. Through your generous donations, taking the time to drive to our home to collect your orders, your patience, grace and abundant support, we have donated $15,000 (yes fifteen thousand dollars!) to Austin area non-profits - together.

It's Ramadan, the month my mother passed away in 10 years ago, the month of benediction, forgiveness and goodness. May you all be blessed with health, happiness and faith. May your good deeds be multiplied and your heart find ease.

It's samosa pick up day, today!

We didn't sell quite as many as we usually do but that's OK. Every little helps and Inshallah, next time!

We jumped into making samosas this weekend. 20lbs of beef, 5lbs of onions and bunches and bunches of herbs and spices all folded into munchable triangles.

Now that we've made enough for family and neighbors, I'll get cracking on another 20lbs of meat but will call it quits after that. It'll be a smaller batch for ordering for sure this year - maybe 500 instead of 1000 and I don't think we will be doing gluten free. I'll keep y'all posted about when they'll be available!
