Lake Travis is a monster sometimes. We recovered a failing lake pump and failed pvc mainline/casing, rappelling and cutting 6’ sections of pipe out so we could haul it off. Once I figured out jean jackets were in, we delivered and installed a 300’ run of 2” hdpe to replace the exposed pvc (can’t be buried, it’s practically on a cliff) so we could set our pump below the historical low on lake Travis. A few sparks later we had a custom stainless pump stand for our flow sleeve and intake in the water. A new pump was installed while we try to get the old one rebuilt. Last step was installing an automatic disc filter and we are ready to water. With the new LCRA restrictions it is critical having the proper irrigation equipment to keep your irrigation running and target crops happy. Not pictured: 15 raps, 8 dives, 3lbs of rod burned, two bandsaw blades, an ungodly amount of P Terry’s egg burgers, and 20 zones replaced by our super awesome friends at Rain Man irrigation.

I am proud to say that the website has been redone! We have a more detailed contact form, easier to navigate menu, and MUCH better pictures. Please have a read if you’re tired of mindlessly scrolling through FB videos and don’t forget to tell us what you think! Y’all have a great evening.

Water CenTex LLC Not much has changed since 1927. As the population in Central Texas continues to grow, our water resources become more valuable- and more scarce.

Try and spot the difference. First picture taken in April post-installation. Second picture taken this morning.

Disc Filters on Lake Travis before and after cleaning (approx 3 months heavy use)-
When using lakes or other surface water as an irrigation source, algae and other detritus often cause issues. Valves can stick open, and nozzles get clogged. Disc filters are the way to go when it comes to protecting your valves, nozzles, and heads. They are easy to service and durable. This customer has two 2” filters set up in parallel with 120mesh disc elements.
