A huge thank-you to the AmeriCorps coaches who completed their service with College Possible Texas this year! 🎉
These coaches spent the year working directly with students in Austin, providing consistent, near-peer guidance through college applications, financial aid, and enrollment decisions. A service year is a serious commitment, and the impact these coaches made on students is real and lasting. Thank you for everything you brought to this work. 💙

This July, the most significant changes to federal student aid in decades take effect. For the students we serve, it's one more layer of complexity on an already overwhelming process.

Nearly three-quarters of college access organizations are seeing higher demand. 60% are facing funding cuts. Our coaches are stretched, and AI is helping us extend our reach.

But technology alone isn't the answer. The real power comes when AI is in the hands of organizations that know their students deeply. Our CEO Siva Kumari makes the case in University Business: invest in the organizations already doing this work, not just in new tools:

At Aldine Independent School District, our advisors led financial aid workshops and sat down with students to help them navigate one of the most important steps of the college decision process: the award letter.
By breaking down the numbers and answering specific questions, we’re ensuring students have the tools they need to make informed decisions about their futures. We’re proud to continue supporting Aldine students as they navigate the path to and through college!
