Rick's Beetle Ute right out of the paint shop! I love the color he chose. Moonrush Chop Shop did the conversion, and he had it painted locally at Overspray Customs in Temple Tx. It turned out great!

Spent the day at a great local car show. Got LOTS of comments and questions on Mr. C. I didn’t get any other car pics, stayed and answered questions most of the day. It was a BEAUTIFUL October day in Texas! That’s my buddy’s 1970 C10 next to me-it’s a really nice mostly original truck.

Once disassembly of the donor is complete, the initial cuts are made to make room for the new bed structure and fiberglass body panels.

The first step in the conversion is disassembly. The New Beetle is pretty easy to take apart with basic hand tools.
