The Paper Committee

Oof this one is going to be pretty. I was trying for VERY neutral, and still got colorful, but it’s lovely anyway. All new work coming October 2nd! Lots of it will be small and shippable!

Very excited to do my first public crafting demo outdoors at Mellon Park during A Fair in the Park this Sunday! I’m already gearing up for a very in the gallery, and I’ll run several free craft stations in the coming months where you can help add to this marvelous Christmas project! New work for this month’s Unblurred First Friday Art Walk on Penn at the gallery. Yes that IS a peek of a NEW plastic puff quilt wall hanging! More of those coming next month for a solo show!

In the spirit of too much on my plate right now, I decided not to paint the border. And 80% of you agreed that the piece is finished without one, so how about that. Making three new pieces for the next First Friday, this is the biggest one!

I am beyond honored to be included in this new exhibition at The Robert C. Williams Museum of 13 contemporary paper artists. The exhibition is curated by the incredibly talented and fellow paper artist Michael Velliquette, and the roster is stacked with world-renowned big deals in the paper art world. To show my art alongside Samuelle Green is truly insane. Also Alicia Kelly and I both went to KU at the same time and she was the cool girl that made paper art that worked at the coffee shop I practiced French at. And now we’re in the same show!

The opening for this was last weekend, but I was so overwhelmed with the grand opening for Brighter Days Gallery that I didn’t get a chance to post about this. The show is up until January of next year, so if I have any folks out in Atlanta, you need to go see this show! Thank you again to Michael for including me💖

I’ve been pretty quiet on this account while I hustle quietly and constantly, spending most of my time on Brighter Days Gallery . But I assure you I’m still making art behind the scenes. Still available for commissions, too!

New Trash Quilt is coming along nicely. I’m really enjoying sewing, which is just as tedious as paper folding but in a whole different way.

Welcome to The Gemini Collection! This mini series I created on or near my birthday, and I leaned into the somewhat obnoxious colors and vibrant palettes that make my heart sing. The titles are also named after different parts of me. 😇
