Looking back at our recently completed project, Norman Commons.

Developed by Foundation Communities , Norman Commons opened this spring, adding 156 affordable homes to our community and creating a place for families and individuals to call home.

The vision was to create more than housing — a welcoming community with spaces that bring people together. From murals and gathering areas to a basketball court, soccer/flex area, grilling spaces, playground, outdoor classroom, and dog park, Norman Commons was designed with residents and connection in mind.

We’re proud to have been part of bringing this community to life.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Landscape Architecture Project Management.
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to guide projects from concept through completion
• A team-first mindset with attention to detail

This is an in-person/in-office role where you will work closely with our team to bring meaningful projects to life.

Blu Fish Collaborative is celebrating nine years of shaping spaces and building meaningful relationships through landscape architecture. From school campuses to community spaces, it’s been an incredible journey doing work we truly enjoy every day. Just like these bluebonnets bring a touch of nature to one of our high school landscape projects, we’re proud to create environments that people experience and connect with. We’re grateful for the growth, the partnerships, and the trust over the years—and we’re looking forward to what’s ahead.

Whitney and Emmelie had a great time representing Blu Fish Collaborative at The University of Texas at Austin Career Fair on February 6th — meeting talented students and sharing our work and internship opportunities. 🌿✨

On February 12th, Thu was in College Station at the Texas A&M University Career Fair, connecting with even more emerging designers. 🎓🤝 We’re always grateful for the passion and creativity these students bring — the future of landscape architecture is bright! 🌱

Celebrating the ribbon cutting at Juniper Creek last week ✂️🌿. Blu Fish Principal Whitney Blunt was honored to attend and support this exciting milestone.
Congratulations to Foundation Communities on opening another incredible project for our city! 💙 Juniper Creek also achieved a 4-Star rating from Austin Energy — recognizing a high-performance building that significantly exceeds standard energy, water, and material efficiency standards.

Blu Fish Collaborative designed an urban infill apartment complex that blends modern living with natural beauty — featuring two resort-style pools, vibrant courtyards, and a rooftop space overlooking downtown Austin. A preserved heritage pecan tree anchors the heart of the project, creating a serene centerpiece for residents to enjoy.

🎃 BFC has been busy, but not too busy for some spooky fun! 👻 Our Halloween Pumpkin Palooza with our friends at Davies Collaborative was a blast — we put our creativity to the test in a pumpkin carving showdown.

🏆 ‘Sleepy Lil’ Pumpkin’ snagged 1st place
🥈 The world’s first birthday card on a pumpkin took 2nd!

All in all, we had a pretty gourd time. 😉 Happy Halloween from the Blu Fish crew! 🎃🌿
