Memorial Day isn’t about mattress sales or a long weekend. It’s about remembering those who stepped up and served this country.
I had the honor of serving in the Army. Because of my time at Fort Hood, I was asked to be a Guardian on an Honor Flight for a Vietnam War veteran.
If you’ve never looked into what does, take a minute. They fly our veterans to Washington, D.C. to see the memorials built in their honor. Many of them for the first and only time.
