We’re walking the other direction until these babies are hatched. And while I know this was a warning, I commend the dancing and give the show 10 out of 10. Still amazed these birds lay eggs in small holes on the ground.

The DIAis another Detroit building with fantastic features, and the art is fantastic too. I really enjoyed the museum’s three floors. We saw several@photoshoots happening outside the building (I’m guessing engagement and graduation). It’s right next to Wayne State University as well.

Visited the Upjohn Peony Garden, part of the Nicholson Arboretum this weekend in Ann Arbor, for hundreds of peonies in full bloom. I could not have accurately described a peony before, and now I want a yard to plant them in. Shades of pink, white, reds, and yellow, and they smell heavenly. There is a shuttle, however, those were not running the advertised every 15 minutes and the line for the shuttle back was at least two full shuttles worth of people long with wait times over half an hour. There are a few bathrooms and a small shop selling cold drinks and ices. Sooo glad we went.

My favorite from the botanical gardens this past weekend.

The Bonsai garden was beautiful and quietly serene and everything you’d want out of one. We met the Gardners pruning the trees and were able to ask them questions (he was gently using a Dremel tool to clean out the roots). Such precise work! While there are other gardens at this FREE botanical gardens, this was my favorite.

It was fun finding the Jiffy plant in Chelsea, MI.
