Sometimes the hardest puzzles aren’t in school—they’re in the brain. 🧠

A child can be bright, hardworking, and motivated, yet reading may still feel exhausting. Words may move, attention may drift, or homework may take hours.
What if the challenge isn’t effort—but how the visual system is working?

Vision therapy helps train the connection between the eyes and the brain, building skills that support reading, learning, sports, and everyday life.

Because when vision works better, life can feel easier. 👁️✨

A routine eye exam may confirm that your eyes are healthy and your prescription is accurate. But after a concussion or neurological injury, that may not explain why stores feel overwhelming, reading causes fatigue, or movement makes you dizzy.
Neuro-optometric care evaluates how the eyes, brain, and body work together. It can identify functional vision concerns that may not appear during a basic vision screening.
Recovery is rarely one-size-fits-all. A specialized assessment can help guide the next step in your care.

The fastest athletes do more than move quickly; they recognize visual information quickly. Spotting an open teammate, tracking a fast-moving ball, judging distance, and responding to movement in the peripheral field all depend on efficient visual processing. A sports vision program can assess and train skills such as dynamic visual acuity, tracking, visual reaction time, depth perception, and eye-hand coordination. Book your appointment today.

Myopia makes distant objects appear blurry, but it is more than an inconvenience corrected with glasses.
As myopia progresses, the physical structure of the eye can change. Higher levels of myopia are associated with an increased risk of certain eye-health complications later in life.
Regular monitoring allows us to track changes and discuss management options when appropriate. For children, starting the conversation early may make a meaningful difference.
Has your child’s prescription changed again? It may be time for a myopia assessment.

A little late but….we jumped on the 80s trend! 🪩🕺

Losing their place, skipping words, rereading lines, headaches, or avoiding close-up work may point to a problem with the way the eyes work together. These difficulties are not always detected by a basic vision screening. We provide comprehensive assessments of the visual skills needed for comfortable reading and learning. When appropriate, an individualized vision therapy program may be recommended.

📺 WE’RE ON THE NEWS! 👀💙

Did you know that 1 in 4 children may have an undiagnosed vision problem?

And here’s the important part: 20/20 vision doesn’t always mean a child’s visual system is working efficiently.

Vision plays a huge role in how children read, learn, focus, track, process information, play sports, and navigate the world around them. When an underlying vision problem goes undetected, it can sometimes look like a learning, attention, or behavioral issue.

We were honored to speak with KXAN KXAN News about the importance of looking beyond 20/20 and understanding how vision can impact a child’s everyday life. 💙

At The Center for Vision Development, we believe:
✨ 20/20 is not enough.
If your child is struggling with reading, eye tracking, focusing, headaches, skipping words, losing their place, or avoiding schoolwork, it may be worth taking a closer look at how they see.
