We are excited to introduce Dr. Miranda Huffaker, the newest member of our veterinary team!

Dr. Huffaker is originally from San Antonio, Texas, and earned her degree in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Midwestern University in Arizona, where she was inducted into the prestigious Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society.

Dr. Huffaker has practiced in both Minneapolis and New York and is thrilled to now be back in Texas caring for Austin’s pets and the families who love them.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Huffaker enjoys puzzles, spending time with her family, and relaxing with a good reality TV show.

We hope you’ll join us in giving Dr. Huffaker a warm welcome!

It's getting chilly! 🥶Cold weather can affect your pet's joints, skin, activity, and routines. Here are a few tips to prepare your pet for wintertime:
- Provide a warm and cozy space off of the floor and away from drafts
- Sweaters or jackets are great for short-haired, small or senior pets
- Limit your pet's time outside in the extreme cold
- Some pets' nutrition needs might change during the winter. Talk to your vet if you think this might be the case.
