Today marks a 4 year anniversary for Andre Bike Shop which is freaking rad! A bit hard to wrap my head around where the time has gone, but nonetheless here we are stepping into another year of service, sales, rentals, lessons and consultations!

Introducing the newest iteration of Andre Bike Shop:

Aside from that, bike service prices have gone up. This choice was made after extensive conversations with people working in the cycling space, former shop owners and a changing industry as a whole. We've kept our prices pretty much the same since 2020, and this update is primarily an overdue correction.

That said, we're stoked to see what 2024 holds! We remain committed to keeping Austin's MTBers rolling with the fastest turnaround and most dedicated service in town. Get ready for epic rides and dialed bikes!

The shop had a temporary transformation to Andre Car Shop - though that's all sorted, and service backlog from my time off is all cleared up!

Reach out with any bike work inquiries and I'd love to schedule you in! Weather is amazing, there's plenty of daylight in the evenings to ride, and it seems like there are new trails popping up on the weekly basis. Go ride your bike!!

Just a heads up for all of y'all - I've got a one way ticket out of this country on March 7th for some traveling. I'll be taking bikes in for repairs/service up until March 6th.

I don't know how long I'll be out for, though ballpark till the end of March.

For anyone curious:
Backpacking trip through Mexico, touching base in Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey and then the Yucatan area. If that goes well, I'd be stoked to go check out South America from there :)

My two cents on upgrading a bike:
All touch points should come first: grips, pedals, seat, shifter, dropper lever, brakes. These are the parts that connect you to the bike, and the ones you use the most while riding. Plus - everything short of the brakes is relatively inexpensive. So, if you're on a budget and want to make your bike ride/feel better, then I say start with touch points.
