Great story by the Trib on efforts to create more housing (including along transit lines) to increase affordability.

And guess what? Its working.

Texas’ high housing costs sparked a movement to bring them down. The fight could shape the state for years to come. A new breed of activists wants Texas to tame costs by building more housing. But longstanding opposition to such policies remains strong.

Rally for Transit with UT Students yesterday. They want affordability, to fight climate change, and to be connected with the rest of the city.

More affordability is what Austin needs. A better transit system provides it.

15th Court of Appeals dismisses Texas AG’s appeal in Project Connect lawsuit The 15th Court of Appeals dismissed an appeal from the Office of the Attorney General that challenged the funding structure behind the Project Connect mass transit system.
