I've never been shy about my opinions on the payout model from most streaming services. My average streaming payout is $0.000375 per stream. I've been fortunate enough to have garnered more than 24 million streams across all platforms and still can't consider streaming a reliable source of income. This change from Spotify virtually guarantees that new artists or those with minimal promo support are culled from the industry. If you agree, I'd urge you to contact spotify and let them know that while we ABSOLUTELY need a change in the way royalties are paid, this isn't it.
