PRO TIP - If you are filing a claim for roof damages from falling tree limbs... there was NO WIND today/yesterday. The insurance company might try to get you to agree there was wind. The branches broke from the weight of accumulated ice ONLY. NO WIND. Because the deductible for wind is around 3 times higher than from FALLING OBJECTS.
“Most insurance carriers in our area write policies for a fixed deductible and then a percentage for wind and hail only which is usually 1% or 2% of your policy limit. Weight of ice and snow is a separate peril which is typically covered under most policies but it’s always best to refer to your own individual policy for this information. In the instances they mistake your claim as wind vs weight of ice and snow you can dispute it and by the time they get back to you they’ll most likely address it because we can't apply the wrong deductible to the incorrect peril.” (That part came from an insurance adjuster.)

Decided to really get back to my roots and start and playing around with food again!!! Tonight’s Dinner, Open Flame Smoked Salmon….this one was a fun one….started off with Post Oak and Mesquite Charcoal Briquettes and then Apple Wood to to get a nice sweet smoke out of the fire, once it was roaring, I laid down Navel Orange Slices, 1 Side of Salmon with Skin On, then coated the salmon with Teriyaki, Chopped Pecans and Center Cut Salt and Pepper Barked Bacon. Let her roar over the open fire for about 20-25 minutes and bam, it was done! We served it up with Creamy Avocado Rice, Parmesan Roasted Green Beans and Steamed Veggies!
