📍I’m covering Congressman Colin Allred’s election night watch party as he tries to oust incumbent Republican Senator Ted Cruz.

A win for Allred would be the first time a Democrat held statewide office in Texas in three decades. He would be the states first Black senator and could help Senate Democrats in their push to control the chamber.

Rest in paradise, Scott Duff. After a year-long battle with cancer, it's peaceful knowing he is no longer in pain.

Scott was one of the kindest spirits the world will ever know! Six months into my time at WSFA-TV I was abused by my ex-partner. I am a survivor of domestic violence. Scott supported and helped me along my healing journey. From financial support so I could move into a new home, to allowing me space to heal before returning to work (and not making it weird) He even allowed me to step away from covering very triggering stories.

And while my story is my own, his kindness extended to anyone who worked for him or who he met. Truly a gem. Hug your people. See you in another life, Scott!❤️
