Application process for ‘HOME’ part two opens Friday Scott Turner, the owner of Riverside Homes, is one of the more than 100 people who has been approved to utilize HOME part one — one of the recent land development code changes made by the city of Austin aimed at housing affordability.

We're very happy with the way these homes turned out at our Jester project, but it ain't easy building infill housing, that's for sure.

We are lucky to have such a good park system here in Austin, but the city has to take a comprehensive look at how fees like this one combined with all the other regulatory barriers to housing impact affordability. Austin already has the highest development fees in the state by a wide margin, almost $50,000 per unit.
