The Augusta Library was established in 1750. It is one of the oldest libraries in the US and the second oldest library in Georgia.

Things got foamy at Diamond Lakes Branch Library! ๐Ÿฆ–๐Ÿงช

Kids joined us for the Unearth STEAM: Dinosaur Toothpaste Demo, where science came to life through a fun, hands-on chemical reaction. they explored how simple ingredients can create BIG results โ€” and yes, the โ€œdinosaur toothpasteโ€ definitely lived up to its name!

This event was all about curiosity, creativity, and learning through discovery. Thank you to everyone who came out and made this STEAM adventure such a roaring success!

Library Closed Tomorrow | Friday, June 19

All Augusta-Richmond County Public Library System locations will be closed tomorrow, Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

ARCPLS is proud to partner with the National Pan-Hellenic Council for **From the Yard to the Shelves: The Divine Nine โ€œPages of Legacyโ€ Book Drop-Off** happening **tomorrow, June 18, from 4:00 PM โ€“ 6:00 PM** at Headquarters Library.

Divine Nine members are invited to bring books that celebrate the history, service, scholarship, leadership, and legacy of NPHC organizations and members.

The community is invited to come view the display, learn, and celebrate Divine Nine legacy through literature as we honor the spirit of Juneteenth.

Join us for From the Yard to the Shelves: The Divine Nine โ€œPages of Legacyโ€ Book Drop-Off on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Headquarters Library.

Calling all teens! Learn the basics of storytelling and comic design while creating your own original comic strip characters and adventures.

๐Ÿ’Œ June 17 โ€” Paige's Pals (Friedman Branch, 10:30โ€“11:30am)
Kids can learn how to become a pen pal through fun letter-writing activities and creative stationery design.

Join us as we create our own unique fossils with air-dry clay!
