Things got foamy at Diamond Lakes Branch Library! 🦖🧪
Kids joined us for the Unearth STEAM: Dinosaur Toothpaste Demo, where science came to life through a fun, hands-on chemical reaction. they explored how simple ingredients can create BIG results — and yes, the “dinosaur toothpaste” definitely lived up to its name!
This event was all about curiosity, creativity, and learning through discovery. Thank you to everyone who came out and made this STEAM adventure such a roaring success!

Library Closed Tomorrow | Friday, June 19
All Augusta-Richmond County Public Library System locations will be closed tomorrow, Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.
Normal hours resume on Saturday.
The legacy is coming off the yard and onto the shelves. 📚✨
ARCPLS is proud to partner with the National Pan-Hellenic Council for **From the Yard to the Shelves: The Divine Nine “Pages of Legacy” Book Drop-Off** happening **tomorrow, June 18, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM** at Headquarters Library.
Divine Nine members are invited to bring books that celebrate the history, service, scholarship, leadership, and legacy of NPHC organizations and members.
The community is invited to come view the display, learn, and celebrate Divine Nine legacy through literature as we honor the spirit of Juneteenth.

Tomorrow is the day! 📚✨
Join us for From the Yard to the Shelves: The Divine Nine “Pages of Legacy” Book Drop-Off on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Headquarters Library.
In partnership with the National Pan-Hellenic Council, ARCPLS invites Divine Nine members to contribute books for an ongoing literary display celebrating Divine Nine history, service, scholarship, and legacy.

So much going on this week — here are a few events coming up:
✏️ June 17 — DIY Comic Strip Workshop (Friedman Branch, 2:00–3:00pm)
Calling all teens! Learn the basics of storytelling and comic design while creating your own original comic strip characters and adventures.
💌 June 17 — Paige's Pals (Friedman Branch, 10:30–11:30am)
Kids can learn how to become a pen pal through fun letter-writing activities and creative stationery design.
🦴 June 18 — Fossil Making (Headquarters Children's Department, 2:00–3:00pm)
Join us as we create our own unique fossils with air-dry clay!

Storytime with Ms. Rachael is always a special treat! 📚
Our young readers enjoyed a fun and engaging storytime filled with imagination, listening, and learning together. Moments like these help build a love for reading one story at a time. 💛
