The Importance of HEPA Vacuuming in Mold Remediation
One of the most important steps in proper mold remediation is HEPA vacuuming.
When mold grows, it releases microscopic spores and fragments that settle on surrounding surfaces. Even after visible mold is removed, those tiny particles can remain on framing, subfloors, and other materials.
A true HEPA vacuum captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns, helping remove mold spores and contaminated dust so they aren’t re-released into the air.
This step is part of the cleaning process we follow according to industry standards and is critical before final cleaning and clearance testing.
