Sea-breeze season is kicking in across the Sunshine State! ☀️🌴🌩️

East winds are pinning the Gulf-side sea-breeze west of I-75. Our neighbors down south are about to be in full-blown “wet season”…

Western half of US 80 in Emanuel County being impacted by a strong storm moving more NNW, just out of the path of the CSRA.

These storms are what we were touching on along the “convergence zone” in Middle GA this afternoon and evening.

Wilkes, Taliaferro, Warren, and Glascock counties still have the highest chance of rain until midnight tonight. Most will stay completely dry, but later this week changes things! 🌩️🌩️

We discussed this in detail on Friday, but today’s rain chances are still slim for parts of the CSRA.

There’s a “convergence zone” where a west wind meets a south wind in the middle of the state today. This combined with our noticeably muggier feel will likely spark showers and storms along I-75 in the Macon Metro. Some of those storms could wander east into the western CSRA past 7 PM. Washington, Crawfordville, Warrenton, and Gibson have the best chance at storms today.

More pics from the islands🦎☀️🌴… we had several days in a row in the mid 80s… but it was a whole different feel than back home in the CSRA. Lows were a miraculous 79-80 degrees, it was swampy to another level☀️
Maho Beach in St. Maarten is a blast! That’s one busy airport.. we had several planes fly over us in just a few hours. I’d say one every 5-10 minutes.

Our rainforest hike through St. Croix was one of our favorite parts. Got the authentic experience on a Cruzan property where our guide had made several trails through the mountains.

Until next time when we’re “off to see the lizard” 🦎

Weekend forecast from Meteorologist Connor Tank! Give him a follow for more weather updates:

05/15/2026

Air you can wear is coming this weekend! Dew points hit the mid 60s starting Sunday 🌫️ Highs near 90 all of next week barring late week storms🌩️

05/14/2026

Good Thursday afternoon! If someone could bottle this air up and keep it around it sure would be nice.

Summer comes roaring in this weekend and next week, but it'll take a second for the mugginess to come with the hot temps.

It'll take even longer for the t-storm chances to come in as well. Looking ahead to Memorial Day Weekend some in this forecast:

“There’s jerk chicken, grillin’ on the grill. Sure feels good for some time to be still”… that was the motto last week 🌴☀️🌊 Unbelievable time traveling the Caribbean with Jenna on a much needed trip down south.

We got the chance to visit St. Croix, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, and The Bahamas 🇧🇸 They’re all beautiful in their own way. The food, the beaches and the landscape are our element. We even saw some CSRA viewers (shoutout to y’all!)

We got a true taste of the Lesser Antilles between rainforest hike, Maho Beach (where the planes fly over), and riding dune buggies in Puerto Rico.

That Caribbean humidity ain’t too far away, and so get ready!🤣 Spring cruises are the way to go if you can, beat Hurricane season to the punch🌀 Good to be back with y’all!
