Documenting life untamed

Photos from GDC Photography's post 12/08/2025

Not everyone's holly is super jolly this season. For some people this season holds an incredibly profound and somewhat disorienting duality. It's both magical and bright and beautiful - but also painful and hard and lonely. It can be both, and that is ok. And it's ok to honor that. This year might be someone's first Christmas since a breakup or a divorce, their first Christmas as a single parent or their 3rd - being the sole maker of all the Christmas magic - and it's so fu***ng lonely and also incredibly rewarding. It's someone's first Christmas without a parent or since that horrifyingly painful friend breakup that they thought they would never survive. It's someone's first Christmas in a new place or away from the family they wish they could be with.

I think this season always reminds me that I can be kind. I can be that smile or encouraging word that might change someone's day just a bit and make them feel less alone. And so I'm just going to keep doing that. I think we are all experiencing overwhelm at one level or another - but we don't have to do it alone.

I'm not generally a family photographer but these insanely gorgeous people have me questioning that!

'Tis the season....

Legit my favorite holiday photos I've ever done! Jadi Cheek and her brother were the perfect clients for this shoot! We laughed so hard we cried! Missing the Serenity Glass House more and more!

Testing light and getting acquainted with my home studio since I painted and changed a few things. Obsessed is an understatement! That green is MAGIC!

2025 - The year of the snake
It calls you to shed anything that no longer supports your well-being - including the snakes in the grass. To move with purpose, not pressure. To transform quietly yet powerfully. To act with intention and respond with precision. And to let your growth speak louder than any revenge ever could.

THIS SESSION!!!

Don't come at me - but I'm not a huge Halloween person. We never really celebrated growing up, my mom was a bit odd about things like that (among other things). And I LOVE the holiday as a parent, but it's different I guess.

BUT..... my gorgeous friend Kirin always brings me the Halloween spirit each year. I may not recover from this one. She's the GOAT.

I got to hang out with my girl Kirin this morning and I can't wait to get into this gallery! As always, she brings out the best in me
