I remember the most awkward time in my life, middle school! I absolutely hated it. My most significant memory was when my 8th grade math teacher was signing our high school papers to determine which math class we would start out with in 9th grade. She immediately was skeptical of putting me in Algebra 1. Don't forget that I really hated middle school, especially the school I attended. I knew how to do school work, I just hated the assignments and the tons of homework they gave us. (SN: A child is not successful based off how much homework he or she does!!!)

Anyway, she did sign the paper for Algebra 1 and I aced it!! I even had the hardest and meanest teacher in the school. I graduated from high school with a really great GPA. I go on to college and take more math!!! I graduate with a Finance degree and later work in accounting and Finance for over 12 years. Not to mention the few years that I taught math. Now I teach business owners how to make their numbers make sense.

I wrote this to say, please don't let the naysayers from your past dictate your life today. They said you weren't smart enough, pretty enough, skinny enough, or whatever. You are enough. Don't let their words control God's assignment over your life!!
