Havird Usry, partner with Fat Man's Mill Café & Catering, is excited to soon be opening Bradley's BBQ on Broad Street. While there’s a lot of activity and growth happening throughout downtown, it’s all part of the progress that continues to make Augusta an exciting place to be and invest in.

With so many fragmented trails around Augusta and North Augusta, The Green Ribbon aims to unify these trails into a cohesive, co-branded loop. It will span six miles in an interconnected figure-eight, serving as both a regional destination and the most sensory-rich way to experience both downtowns within a single day.

The New Augusta Arena project continues to make tremendous progress. The project team is rapidly approaching a significant milestone of 400,000 total work hours completed on site and continues to maintain no schedule delays to date.

As construction accelerates through the summer, the community can look forward to one of the project's most exciting milestones yet: the Topping OutCeremony in September 2026, marking the placement of the final structural beam and another major step toward opening Augusta's premier new entertainment and sports venue.

Born in Augusta. Built on Soul! 🎙️

The Augusta GreenJackets unveiled their alternate identity, The Augusta Soul, Monday night at SoulBarAugusta. This new identity is presented by Visit Augusta and was designed by local artist, Jasonthe29th. Players will wear new jerseys with a new logo and pink, white, and blue color scheme to celebrate the city’s rhythm, history, and culture. The identity will pay tribute to James Brown and Sharon Jones, with a jersey auction to benefit the James Brown academy of Musik Pupils.

18 years after the original team left, hockey is coming back to Augusta! The Augusta Lynx will begin play in October 2027 as the ECHL’s 32nd Member team. This is an exciting step forward for Augusta and an investment in experiences that bring our community together. Thank you to Tim Tebow, David Hodges, the ECHL, the Coliseum Authority and everyone helping make this vision a reality.
