Dr. Karen Carter opened Augusta Developmental Specialists in May 2009 after having a clinic at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) for nine years. We strive to provide the best healthcare for children and adults with developmental disabilities. We provide developmental assessment and follow up care, care coordination, equipment assistance, prescription refills, wheelchair clinics, and patient advocacy services.
We hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful snow! Out of caution for the roadways and for the safety of our patients and staff, we will open at 12 pm tomorrow and will keep you updated if that changes.
We will be open our regular business hours today. 8:30-5:00.
Hello patients and families. We are carefully observing the weather. Unfortunately, we cannot predict tomorrow's conditions until they occur, and we will provide you with updates on our hours and other information. Please take care to stay safe and warm!
We will be closed on Thursday and Friday of this week. Please call the office today for any needs you may have (refills, nurse calls, etc). We will return to the office on Monday.

Today's storm has knocked out our power, which has also knocked out our phones. We can't do much until Georgia Power turns the lights back on.

Ever had an employee that gets upset when they can't work because they are sick? Well, we have 2 of them out right now and a third in school. So, to say we are struggling with phone calls, paperwork and treating our patients would be an understatement. As always we are working tirelessly for our patients and their families.
