Our mission has been to provide funding locally for children in the CSRA since our inception in 2006. The answer to both needs is The Apparo Academy.
The mission of Apparo Academy is to partner with families to provide a Christian education that integrates therapy services and academics for children of all abilities. However, we have seen a growing need for a preschool setting that incorporates a therapeutic approach throughout the day to maximize the potential of the children. Apparo Academy is a faith-based, non-profit, specialized preschool
Many children with complex medical needs are excluded from traditional summer programs because the support they require simply isn't available. At Apparo, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to participate, have fun, and make memories alongside their peers.
That's why every activity is thoughtfully adapted to meet each child's unique needs, ensuring they can safely engage, learn, and be included. From Water Day to classroom adventures, our students aren't watching from the sidelines; they're right in the middle of the fun!
Because inclusion isn't just a goal at Apparo, it's part of who we are. ✨

🦁🌿 This week, we're going on a Zoo & Safari Adventure!
Our Sparrows class brought this theme to life by enjoying a picnic in the "great outdoors" while learning about the animals that call these habitats home. 🐘🦒

What sets Apparo Academy apart from early intervention programs? 🤔
Our therapy doesn't stop when a session ends. Our teachers and therapists work hand in hand to carry therapeutic techniques throughout the entire day, from the classroom to the playground and everywhere in between.
By incorporating therapy goals into everyday activities and play, children receive consistent opportunities to practice important skills in natural, engaging environments.
It's just one of the ways our integrated model sets us apart and helps children make meaningful gains toward greater independence. 🙌🏽

We kicked off one of our favorite summer traditions today, which happens to be Water Day, and the smiles say it all! From splashing and playing to cooling off with friends, our students had a blast enjoying a fun-filled morning together!🌊💦☀️
✨🏰 Disney Week at Apparo! 🏰✨
The magic is in full swing as our students explore, learn, and play through all things Disney this week! From favorite characters to themed activities, there’s been plenty of fun, imagination, and smiles along the way.
Looking for a fun STEAM activity to do at home this summer?
Try this Volcano Lava experiment! It's a simple, hands-on activity that encourages children to explore science through observation, creativity, and play. Best of all, it's easy to make with items you may already have at home.
Ingredients:
🛒 1 clear glass jar or tall glass
🛒 1 cup vegetable oil (or baby oil)
🛒 1 cup water dyed with red, orange, or yellow food coloring
🛒 ¼ cup table salt (plus extra for more lava action)
🛒 Optional: edible glitter or shimmer powder
🛒 Tray or shallow pan
Give it a try and watch the colorful lava come to life! 🌋
