I have done a home inspection on a local home for the 3rd time in 6 years. First two buyers chose not to do a sewer scope inspection but the current buyer elected to do a scope and watch while it was performed, he was glad he did. 2nd scope in 3 weeks that had root intrusion. 1 out of 6 sewer scopes on average will reveal items of concern.

Orangeburg Pipe was made from 1860-1970 years made in Orangeburg NY with a 30-50 Year life expectancy. Used because iron was short during WWI. It is Made of Pulp, pitch and tar
