Meet Sam Robison, JMG Middle School Specialist at Gardiner Regional Middle School and the final member of the 2026 Unum Starting 9 ⚾
Sam has become a familiar face throughout the Gardiner community, bringing students, educators, local organizations, and community leaders together through projects and initiatives that encourage service, leadership, and personal growth.
From organizing Red Ribbon Week and Camp Out Hunger to connecting students with community partners, Sam has created a program that is focused on engagement and giving back. She is also recognized as one of JMG's middle school leaders in implementing the new model, helping students understand the skills they are developing and celebrating their growth through Skill Patches.
What truly sets Sam apart is that she stays connected with students as they transition to high school, helping ensure they continue to benefit from the JMG Promise and know they always have someone in their corner.

Meet Jane-Ann Reinink, JMG High School Specialist at Oceanside High School and a member of the 2026 Unum Starting 9 ⚾
Jane-Ann creates a classroom where every student feels valued, welcomed, and empowered to succeed. Through innovative practices like “Student Leader of the Day,” she helps students build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and develop the tools they need to succeed.
Her students regularly take on leadership roles through community projects, business field trips, fundraising efforts, career fairs, and school events. Jane-Ann builds strong relationships with students and families, creating an environment where students feel connected, supported, and encouraged to reach their goals.
A leader among her peers, Jane-Ann also shares her knowledge and enthusiasm through regional and statewide trainings, helping strengthen JMG programs across Maine.

Meet Rachelle Marable, JMG Specialist at Cony Middle and High School and a member of the 2026 Unum Starting 9 ⚾
Since joining JMG, Rachelle has made a tremendous impact on students by helping them find their voice, build confidence, and advocate for themselves. Whether supporting students as they develop proposals that improve their school community or helping them navigate cultural traditions and challenges, Rachelle creates opportunities for students to be heard and respected.
A leader in implementing the Maine Career Exploration Model and micro-credentials, Rachelle has helped more than 100 middle school students and 80 high school students explore careers, develop new skills, and prepare for their future.

Justine has expanded opportunities for students by helping establish a thriving Extended Learning Opportunity (ELO) program that connects classroom learning to real-world experiences. Through partnerships with Southern Maine Community College, local businesses, and community organizations, students gain valuable skills, college credit opportunities, professional connections, and career exploration experiences.

That reflection from a South Portland High School student captures the impact of the Youth Doula Initiative, an Extended Learning Opportunity that introduced students to careers in maternal health, pediatrics, and public health.

From guiding students through difficult transitions to connecting them with important campus resources, Joe consistently goes above and beyond to help students feel comfortable, confident, and prepared for what comes next.
Before joining UMA as a College Success Specialist, Joe served as a JMG High School Specialist, bringing years of experience and dedication to his current role. In addition to supporting students, he has also stepped into leadership and mentorship roles within JMG, helping organize regional events, supporting fellow staff members, and preparing students for major showcase opportunities.
