One of the biggest mistakes I see during kitchen renovations is choosing a countertop based on looks alone.

Before selecting your countertop, ask yourself these 5 questions:

Do I want the lowest maintenance possible?
Yes → Quartz
No → Consider Granite, Quartzite, or Marble

Do I regularly place hot pots and pans directly on the countertop?
Yes → Granite or Quartzite
No → Quartz is an option

Am I okay with periodic sealing and maintenance?
Yes → Granite, Quartzite, or Marble
No → Quartz or Solid Surface

Do I love natural veining and accept that imperfections may develop over time Yes → Marble
No → Quartz

Is durability more important than having a completely unique natural pattern?
Yes → Quartz
No → Granite or Quartzite

The “best” countertop isn’t the most expensive one but it’s the one that matches the way you live.

Virtual concept for this exterior remodel.

Keeping the original structure and intervening only on the railing and openings leveraging the lightness of glass to balance the squareness of the building.

Very minimal colors are used to give some dimension and the overall contemporary look is being completed by a simple tropical inspired landscaping.

Exterior reimagined.

A little bit about myself and my background. The story behind BTheSpace Interiors

To my wonderful followers,

I recently had a consultation with a business coach and one of the first things she told me was: “You need to put your face to your page.” She also reminded me… “You’re not Nike.” 😃

The truth is, I’ve always believed that my face mattered far less than my expertise, creativity, and the guidance I provide to my clients. I wanted the work to speak for itself.

But growth sometimes means stepping outside of what feels comfortable. She’s been incredibly successful in this industry for many years, and I realized she was right about one thing: people connect with people.

So, I’m taking her advice.

For those of you who only knew the business side of me, now you can finally put a face to the name behind BTHESPACE INTERIORS.

Thank you for being here and supporting this journey.

Studio Update

BTHESPACE INTERIORS is currently operating at full Interior Design capacity through August 2026.

We are now scheduling new Interior Design projects beginning September 2026.

This includes:
• Full-service Interior Design
• Renovations and remodeling projects
• Furnishing and space planning projects
• Large-scale design consultations

Home Staging projects are still being accepted based on listing timeline and availability.

Because our studio maintains a highly hands-on and detail-driven approach throughout each phase of a project, we intentionally limit the number of Interior Design projects we take on at one time.

If you are considering a Fall 2026 Interior Design project, we recommend reaching out now to reserve a place on the calendar.

Thank you for the continued trust and support.

One of the challenges with this fireplace was the asymmetry of the surrounding walls. The goal was to create visual balance without modifying the structure, relocating the fireplace, or rebuilding walls.

Instead of structural intervention, I used contrast, texture, and visual weight to reshape how the space is perceived.

Here’s the design approach:

1. Removed the existing mantel and trim to simplify the architecture.
2. Extended the stone vertically to the ceiling to draw the eye upward and create a stronger focal point.
3. Added acoustic walnut slats to the recessed wall on the right side to introduce warmth, texture, and visual weight.
4. Repeated the same slat detail on the left side to create balance and rhythm across the composition.
5. Painted the surrounding walls, including the hallway beyond the opening, in black to create contrast and visually unify the architecture.

The final result creates a more balanced and intentional composition without altering the existing structure or relocating the fireplace.

Sometimes visual balance is less about symmetry and more about understanding proportion, contrast, and where the eye naturally wants to rest.
