Millions of people in recovery who never thought this would be possible have field-tested this fact and attest to its truth! A variety of methods are utilized to achieve this goal in clients on an individualized basis, taking advantage of group processing as a primary tool. Group work is the proven best method for learning the recovery process of drug and alcohol addiction, much like a hands-on seminar is more effective than individual one-on-one behind-the-desk teaching of a new skill. It provides and environment of immediate identity with others who are going through a similar life-changing event, support, and caring confrontation to break through denial - not a lie but when the mind doesn't see the truth as others see it. Twelve-Step for drug and alcohol treatment, alcohol rehab centers, and other self-help groups are recommended as adjunct therapy and are matched to clients' specific needs while respecting individual spiritual/religious beliefs. Though cessation of drinking/using can be immediate, the recovery process can last a lifetime. STR uses a wholistic approach to all healing-body-mind-spirit, all of which suffers damage during years of neglect and abuse, as well as adolescent substance abuse. Individual Outpatient Counseling Sessions:

These must be set by appointment. Every effort is made to accommodate individual schedules. Intensive Outpatient Program

Our most popular and most effective program consists of 30 sessions, 3 hours each, spread out over an 6-10week period. Admission to this level of care requires criteria consistent with Level II.1 of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), and is covered by most major insurance companies. The flexible schedule of this program allows for fill-time employees or the unemployed to attend, either 9am - 12 noon or 6pm - 9pm. Family Workshop

Every Wednesday from 6pm-7:15pm. Steppingstones believes that substance abuse affects the entire family and social unit and knows that the whole system must heal as well in order to maintain balance in recovery. This program is for family members, friends, employeers, and significant others and is offered for no extra charge. Continuing Care

Recovery from addictive diseases is a lifelong process. To give a boost to this reality, Steppingstones offers weekly follow-up sessions for a minimum of 1 year for all who satisfactorily complete the program. Statistics demonstrate that those who complete this recommendation have a high percentage of long-term success in sobriety.
