Our team is providing construction administration services for a CMAR project at Sweetwater Park, including periodic site visits, submittal review, field coordination, and construction-phase support. The football tower is taking shape, with new stucco bringing the structure closer to completion.

This week, we're featuring Scott Davis, our Lead Landscape Architect.

With a passion for creative problem solving and thoughtful design, he helps guide projects that create lasting value for our clients and communities. One lesson his career has taught him is that every challenge presents an opportunity for a creative solution.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and golfing.

We're glad to have him on the team and grateful for the leadership and expertise he brings to Cranston!

Progress is underway at Jefferson County Park in Louisville, Georgia.

Cranston provided civil engineering, structural engineering, landscape architecture, and surveying services for improvements to the County’s 30+ acre regional sports complex.

Current work includes the new restroom/concession building, new walkways, lighting, and supporting site improvements designed to improve access, function, and the overall park experience.

We’re proud to support Jefferson County Board of Commissioners in enhancing a well-used community park for residents and visitors.

Construction continues to move forward on the future Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center in Grovetown, GA. Located on a 52-acre site between Interstate 20 and Gateway Boulevard, the new healthcare campus includes a 126-bed full-service hospital with an emergency department and a free-standing medical office building that will help expand healthcare services within the community.

The project required careful coordination to work around existing topography, wetlands, and other environmentally sensitive areas while supporting the large healthcare campus footprint.

Cranston provided surveying and civil engineering services for the site design and continues involvement through ongoing construction administration and observation services. We’re excited to see this important healthcare project continue to take shape for the community.

This week marked an exciting step forward for the future of recreation and connectivity in Augusta. Cranston joined the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area, Representative Mark Newton, community leaders, and project partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Riverwatch Trailhead and Pedestrian Bridge project.

Designed to improve access between Riverwatch Village, the Augusta Canal, and the Savannah River, the project will create new opportunities for walking, biking, fishing, kayaking, and enjoying Augusta’s outdoor spaces.

Cranston is proud to support projects that strengthen community connections and contribute to the continued growth of the region.

We’re proud to celebrate The HFW Companies being ranked No. 169 on Engineering News-Record’s 2026 Top 500 AEC Firms list.

This marks an incredible rise of 112 spots since HFW’s debut ranking in 2023 and a 34-spot jump from last year alone, driven by a combined revenue of $117.4 million and impactful work across general building, data centers, water supply, transportation, and telecom projects.
