We are still in awe of the love and support our community continues to show us. Truly, words cannot express how grateful we are for every single person who came out, contributed, and cheered us on. Every swing, every smile, every moment brings us closer to a revitalized Harrisburg 👏

AROUND THE BLOCK // Last month, Board Member Anne Catherine Murray teed off at the Piedmont Augusta Foundation’s 40th Annual Jernigan Memorial Golf Tournament! ⛳️

This incredible event raised over $250,000 for the Change the Course of Lung Cancer Fund, and we couldn’t be more proud to have someone like Anne Catherine representing Turn Back The Block in our community!

June is National Homeownership Month, and there’s no better time to share why we do what we do 🏡

At Turn Back the Block, we believe that homeownership is more than four walls and a roof; it’s the catalyst for real, lasting change in a community. Our mission is to revitalize the Harrisburg neighborhood block by block, transforming vacant lots and once-abandoned homes into affordable homeownership opportunities for families who deserve a place to call their own.

This month, we celebrate every homeowner, every volunteer, every donor, and every dreamer who has believed in what we’re building here 🙌

We are so incredibly thankful to have had these amazing high school seniors be a part of our Youth Leadership Board. They have poured their hearts into this community, and we couldn’t be more proud of everything they’ve accomplished. We can’t wait to see all of the incredible things you go on to do! 💛

Meet Ms. Nancy! A Waynesboro native who has called Harrisburg home for years, she has watched this neighborhood grow and change and has been an active part of making it happen. Ms. Nancy volunteers across every corner of the community and is always the first to show up with a helping hand.

And if her dedication wasn’t enough, she also bakes. Our Youth Leadership Board, as well as our very own Richmond County Marshal’s Lieutenant, would give her baked goods a well-deserved 10/10 🍪
