Big Sourdough baking weekend. 16 Pkgs of bagels, 6 boxes of BB Muffins w/ crumb top, 6 pkgs of Eng Muffins, 3 Pkgs of Tortillas, 9 Dozen eggs and 7 Breads.
Phew!!

Yesterday we had our rotten eggs and Hazmat gear…
Today we have a different Mumma and a whole bunch of Ducklings!!!!
That is life on a homestead.
Not sure how many yet but at least 9-12.

Get Chickens and Ducks they said… it will be fun they said..

One rotten egg smeared all over the whole clutch of eggs, a smell that you can’t get w/in 15 feet of and enough flies to feel like you are in a trippy 80s video! So bad!

What does one do? You dbl glove up, you put on a mask and you go in!

Ps I could taste the smell through the mask!
Not the best afternoon!

Homestead / Hillbilly Hack

Tis the season in Maine to fill your raised beds and buckets for planting season…
Well…make it a little easier on yourself by spreading out all your buckets in the truck bed before hand and then when the fill the back of your truck.. Wa la.. instant filled buckets!

Its not perfect and you do get some dirt that falls into the cracks, but if you have a good scoop driver it can make your life easier! Ps I didnt! 😂

Usually my egg dozens are extremely colorful, but this person asked for only brown eggs….
Is this acceptable or did I do them wrong?

Mexican Street Corn Sourdough Bread

I recently went to a retirement party where they had a version of Mexican street corn dip, which I love by the way.
So I thought hmmm maybe I should try that as an add in on a Sourdough Bread!

Jalapeños, Mexican Street corn, seasoning and Cotija cheese!
Cant wait to cut into it.
