We’re BACK šŸ…šŸŠšŸŒ½šŸ„‘šŸ«šŸ‡

After some time away, we’re so excited to share that we are officially back as a catering and meal prep business! Right now, we’re busy behind the scenes with private events and caterings, while also working hard to finalize our menu and get our ordering system up and running. We promise… it won’t be long!

In the meantime, come see us THIS Saturday at the Boondock Farmers Market for their Mother’s Day Market 🌸 We’d love to see your faces and serve you something delicious.

If you’re interested in booking us for a private event, in-home catering, or anything along those lines, please email us and we’ll get you on the books!

We’re also incredibly excited to share that we’ll be working out of The Salvation Army Kroc Center. We couldn’t be more grateful to partner with such an amazing organization. Be sure to stay tuned to their social media for fun announcements and upcoming classes led by the SolFood kitchen šŸ‘©ā€šŸ³

We can’t wait to serve our community again. Thank you all so much for your continued love and support… it truly means everything to us 🄰

This time around, we will be meal prepping and offering catering services and truly can’t wait to get back to feeding our community! We’ve almost reached our goal. If you are able to donate, it is much appreciated. ✨ From all of us at New Moon CafĆ© šŸ’™

Now more than ever, our downtown Augusta location needs you. We know times are tough. Prices are up, budgets are stretched, and everyone’s feeling it. Supporting local isn’t always about spending money. It’s about showing up for your community in any way you can. We built our community coffee shop on that spirit, and we’ll continue to do our part. šŸ’™

We’re doing everything we can to keep our prices as low as possible so everyone can enjoy a good meal and a cup of coffee. And soon, we’ll have pantry donation bins here at the cafĆ© to help support neighbors in need—because community care goes both ways. šŸ’™

When you stop by for a coffee or a bite to eat, you’re not just supporting our cafĆ©. You’re helping sustain the livelihoods of our team and their families. And it’s not just about us. We also hope you’ll share that same love with all the other incredible coffee shops and small businesses downtown. We’re all in this together. šŸ’™

Even small actions make a difference:
✨ Leave a positive review online
✨ Share a local business’s post
✨ Tell friends about your favorite spots
✨ Stop in and say hello

Every bit of support, whether it costs a dollar or just a moment of your time, helps keep downtown vibrant and connected. ✨

If you can, come downtown. Sip, shop, stroll, and show some love. Together, we can keep our local businesses, our staff, and our community strong. ā˜•šŸ’™

✨ We did it — for the second year in a row, SolFood was voted Best Lunch in Augusta Magazine’s Best of Augusta! ✨
What an incredible honor and accomplishment.

Sadly, as the article also shares, yesterday was our very last day of service. While I am so proud of this recognition, my heart is heavy.

What breaks me most is not just closing our doors for myself, my family, or my staff — but seeing the tears of loyal customers who don’t know where they’ll go now. For so many, SolFood wasn’t ā€œjust a restaurant.ā€ It was the only place where they felt truly welcomed with their allergies and dietary needs. A place where they weren’t dismissed, but embraced — where they belonged at the same table as everyone else.

That was my dream from day one: to create a space where everyone felt seen, included, and celebrated. A place where the food is as healthy as it is good. A place where you could fuel your soul and leave feeling refreshed. Knowing that, for many, this was one of the only places they ever felt that way makes this goodbye incredibly hard.

Since announcing our closure, the outpouring of love has been unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The messages, the tears, the pleas for us to keep going — I am humbled beyond words. To those who called us family, who shared your lives with us, and who supported SolFood through five beautiful years — thank you.

I know most people understand I did everything I could to keep us going. But it still hurts to know I’m taking away this ā€œhomeā€ for so many. Please know: the community, love, and family we built together will live in my heart forever.

With deepest gratitude,
šŸ’› Melanie

ps: stay tuned to our social media for updates of what is next to come. we will never stop doing what we love.

This week marks our final days of service, with Friday as our last day. We hope to see all of your beautiful faces as we close this incredible chapter. Things may get busy, and since every plate is made from scratch with lots of love, we ask for patience as we serve as many of you as we can. While this week is bittersweet, we’re choosing to celebrate the joy, the community, and the memories we’ve built together. Thank you for standing by us — your support has been everything. Let’s make these last few shifts truly unforgettable. CHEERS šŸ„‚šŸŒžšŸŒˆšŸ’›
