APBA Junior Class Racing

Congratulations to Carson Fierek and Chase Tenbusch our J runabout in AX runabout Top O’ Michigan marathon national champions!! 

A huge thank you to Ron and Chad Hill of Hill Marine for delivering the first batch of APBA Junior Category four-stroke propellers for the APBA Junior National Championships in Constantine MI this past week.

The propellers were put through parity testing under the supervision of the APBA Junior Committee before being used in the 2026 Junior National Championship races. We're excited to report that the props performed within an incredible ±0.3 mph of one another—just +/- point three miles per hour! That level of consistency is a tremendous step forward in ensuring parity and fair competition on the four-stroke platform.

The same propeller set is now on its way to DePue for the Junior North American Championships, where it will continue to provide competitors with equal equipment and let driver skill shine.

The work doesn't stop there. Hill is already hard at work producing the next batches of propellers that will be distributed to the APBA regions, helping expand the program and make four-stroke racing more accessible across the country.

A new day of racing means more National Champion hats have been handed out!

Congratulations to Theo Hearn, who swept both Junior classes today, earning the National Championship in J Hydro and J Runabout.

Two classes, two wins, and two National Champion hats. Congratulations, Theo!

As a reminder, move in begins TOMORROW, Tuesday after 9am. No campers or trailers may be parked prior to this time, other than race committee.

All RV and pit spots are assigned. Upon arrival, you must check in to get your assignments. If you haven't already donated for camping please consider a $20 donation that will do directly to the Legion.
