Had an absolutely amazing time at The Mitty! I managed to lead flag to flag from pole to bring home the win in tricky wet but dry tire conditions. However, the racing itself was only a small part of the weekend. Being an HSR weekend, there was plenty of super neat vintage race cars, including Mazda Motorsports’ 4 car strong Heritage Collection, and my car even got to be featured in a really cool Mazda only picture on Friday.

But, back to the racing, this was a super cool weekend to be apart of as a driver. This was by far the most spectators I’ve ever raced in front of, and we got to be on grid during the fan walk to have spectators come up and check out the Spec MX-5 cars. I even got interviewed by Matt Yocum before and after the race, in front of 50,000 people on the live stream.

Huge thanks to Historic Sportscar Racing, Mazda, and IMSA for making this weekend happen, I can’t say enough how cool and unique of an experience it was.

For the second time this year, we’re back at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta! This time we’re here for HSR’s The Mitty, where we’ll be racing in a special Spec Miata and Spec MX-5 only race group on Saturday, and racing alongside some pretty sweet vintage race cars for the rest of the weekend. Big thanks to Historic Sportscar Racing and Mazda Motorsports for this opportunity, it’s going to be a great weekend!

It was a P3 kind of weekend last time out at VIRginia International Raceway. I made it a little hard on myself after having to start both races from eighth, but luckily the car had great race pace and I was able to make up spots in both races, and earn great points for the championship.

We had a tough couple races at Road Atlanta. Walking away with P4 and P7 finishes definitely wasn’t what we wanted, but we led the majority of the laps on Sunday and showed we had pace all weekend. Still plenty of positives to take away, like the fact we got a lot of valuable data with both the new Hoosier dry and wet compounds for SMX that we will take forward with us.

P3 today in qualifying, with one more quali session to go tomorrow morning. We’ll be out first, so the track should be fast!

Spec MX-5

Test day is done and dusted! Car feels good, and I’m getting these new Hoosier SMX tires figured out. Lots of grip in turn 1 now…

We have arrived at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for my first Spec MX-5 race of the year! Can’t wait to get on track tomorrow!

Sorry I’ve been a little quiet on social media lately! I’ve just been hard at work preparing the car for the 2026 Spec MX-5 season! It may look in pieces now, but it’s getting close…

RP Performance

It was an amazing experience getting to compete at the Mazda MX-5 Cup Shootout for the first time. Although I didn’t walk away with a scholarship, I’m still incredibly thankful for the opportunity to compete at this prestigious event.

I can’t thank everyone at Mazda Motorsports enough for the opportunity, Flis Performance for the amazing car, and Circuit Florida for being a great host track.

Huge congrats to Max Stallone, Ethan Lampe, and Charlotte Traynor who won the scholarships.
