Tumbling Creek Ranch We are all about self-sustainability!
We have chickens, goats, and pigs and are looking to expand to a few sheep and maybe turkey in the future. We are growing our own vegetables and raising eggs, but mainly we are selling handcrafted goat milk soaps.
Our rooster is starting to get pretty cocky! He attacked the sheepdog while he was on a leash. Luckily everyone is okay, and it's hard to get mad at the rooster when the sheep dog keeps trying to herd his hens lol
I just bought about 25 large pumpkins from Raleys for $5 for our pigs :-)
So sad. I'm selling most of our chickens (part of my scaling back plan) and someone bought 14 this morning. He put them in plastic tubs with a couple of air holes in the back of his truck. It took him an hour to get home, and apparently 7 of them died :-( I'm so bummed, they were great chickens! What a waste.
Dave shot yet another skunk last night! It was eating eggs right in front of us so Dave was able to get a head shot. Smelling stinky here, but egg numbers should increase now!

That my friends, would be a loose pig. Every morning and every night at least one piglet comes running at me for food and to be let back in with its siblings and mother. I don't know about you, but being chased by a pig, regardless of size, scared the bejesus out of me!! Dave's home today some time... he's got some fencing to work on, I'd say LOL!
I let the other coop out first so that this one doesn't eat their food. But it seems a Rhode Island red rooster is courting my mama hen from the tractor. He hangs out with her all day long, and he even came over to see her this morning before I even letter out. So sweet :)

I just have to show off our handsome little guy :) Can't wait until he's out there moving sheep with Daddy!
Uh oh...! We sold a piglet today so Dave took the opportunity to move Lulu (mama pig) back in with Leroy (daddy pig). We come out later to feed everyone and Lulu's just out wondering! By the time Dave gets to where we spotted her she's gone! He's pig hunting now haha ;)
If any of you are the customer that ends up buying a dozen eggs I just put into the fridge, sorry about it missing an egg. I broke one before I could put it into the fridge. So just take $.25 off your total LOL!

This wrapper was used to steal 3 dz + worth of money from our money box. PLEASE make sure your money drops all the way in! :( I think we will just have to buy a camera after all
If you have been waiting for eggs, we just loaded 5 dozen this morning :)
