With thermal printers, as paper flash and adhesive build up on the printheads, if not removed, it will cause portions of the printhead to burn out, resulting in voids in the print and hardware failure.
KIC partnered with a leading global e-commerce company on a study that found routine cleaning of their thermal label printers extended the printhead life by up to three times.
This resulted in significant savings and reduced downstream failures due to poor-quality barcodes.

As a community fundraiser, KIC employees kindly donated to Greater Androscoggin Humane Society located in Lewiston, Maine. In conjunction with gathering donations for the SPCA, KIC conducted a company-wide Pet Photo Contest to encourage donations, with prizes going to (1) best dog photo, (2) best cat photo, and (3) best barnyard photo.
On Thursday, April 21, 2022 the KIC Crew visited the Greater Androscoggin Human Society to deliver a truck full of goodies including food, treats, toy beds, and, of course, cleaning supplies!
Many thanks to the GAHS for all the good work and kind service they provide for area animals. And Congrats to KICTeam for their generous donations and community spirit!
