On this Veterans Day, OnPoint Consultants proudly honors all those who have served and sacrificed for our country. Today, we spotlight our very own SSG Robert LaPointe, our VP of Operations, pictured below. From 2006 to 2018, Robert served several tours in the Middle East as a forward observer, demonstrating bravery, resilience, and dedication.

We are grateful to have such a committed leader on our team, bringing his expertise and values to OnPoint every day. His service reminds us of the courage and commitment of all veterans.

This is a scene from earlier this year of our delivery of fiber materials to the island of Chebeague, ME! Coordinating two separate tractor-trailer-sized deliveries to an island was no easy task for our team, especially with all the weather events the coast of Maine endured this past winter!

Today, I had the privilege of presenting a monetary donation on behalf of the James and Betty Jacobs Charitable Trust to support give IT. get IT., an incredible organization dedicated to making tech accessible to those who need it most in Maine.

Our contribution will go towards providing scholarships for individuals in Maine who require tech access for communication, education, and professional growth. It's an honor to be part of a cause that empowers Mainers with the digital tools they need to thrive in today's world.

Spread the word! The Affordable Connectivity Program is here to help put $30/mo (or more in some circumstances) toward your internet bill. So far is Maine is only 1/3rd of the way towards getting everyone signed up. Enrolling is a easy as applying online at www.getinternet.gov and contacting your internet provider with your application number! National Digital Equity Center is also able to help!

Maine's ACP Week of Action kicked off on Friday and runs through August 12! The purpose of this week is to bring attention to the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), raise awareness of its benefits to Mainers, and boost enrollment in the program across the state. In Maine, 238,710 households are eligible for the ACP, yet only 88,208 (37% of those eligible) have enrolled (as of July 31, 2023). We invite public and private partners (and individuals!) to join us this week in achieving these goals.

One way you can help spread the word about the ACP is by using our social media cards, available in Arabic, English, Dari, Pashto, French, Lingala, Portuguese, Somali, Spanish, and Swahili. There are two different messages available on the cards, available here: https://buff.ly/3OpUa9l
