DOT Blitz Week is here. This year's International Roadcheck is focusing on two key areas that all carrier partners should have on their radar:

1. ELD Tampering and Falsification: Inspectors will be reviewing drivers' records of duty status closely, with a specific focus on false or manipulated ELD entries.

2. Cargo Securement: Improper or inadequate load securement poses a serious risk. Unsecured materials can become dislodged or fall from the vehicle, creating roadway hazards and increasing the risk of crashes.

Inspectors are available to help drivers and motor carriers ensure they meet all cargo securement requirements and are informed on hours-of-service regulations in their jurisdictions. For more information visit roadcheck.org.

Tomorrow begins DOT Blitz Week (May 12–14). To all of our carrier partners with drivers on the road this week, plan for stops, be patient as drivers may have to wait in line for an inspection and remember, everything checked during a pre-trip inspection is what officers are checking during a Level I inspection.

Safety keeps everyone moving. Be Safe On the Road.

What is a Freight Broker and How Do Carriers Benefit?

If you've ever wondered whether working with a freight broker is worth it, here's what it actually means for your business.

A freight broker connects carriers like you with shippers who need goods moved. Instead of spending time hunting for loads, negotiating rates and managing paperwork, a broker, like Spring Logistics, handles all of those details so you can stay focused on driving and running your fleet.
