You’re worth it. Not because you checked every box today, held it together perfectly, or made it look easy. You’re worth it because you’re human, and your needs matter too. You do not have to earn compassion, you deserve it.

You are okay.

Even if today feels heavy, you are still okay. Keep going.

This is a big moment for us. πŸ’› Saturday, March 21st. 1 PM

We are officially kicking off Safe Harbor Refuge Project with our first ever mental health focused event, and it is a joint experience with Natasha Durand-Moulton Coaching and Consulting. This is the start of what we are building for the future, real support that meets people where they are and gives them tools they can use outside of this one day.

Total Nervous System Reset: Spring Equinox Release + Restore is a guided experience that blends nervous system education with simple, practical regulation tools you can use in real time. It is designed for anyone carrying the effects of PTSD and trauma of all kinds, people who have lived through domestic violence, and people in high stress environments, including first responders, law enforcement, military personnel, and caregivers. It is also for anyone who feels worn down by the constant violence, tragedy, and negativity we are exposed to every day, and wants a way to come back to themselves with steadiness and support. 🧠🌿

You will be guided through release and reconnection practices, with optional voice based regulation like humming, toning, and breath work. Everything is choice based, and you stay in control of your experience.

Then Refuge Director Josh Carpenter will lead gentle movement and a guided meditation to help you integrate what you learned and let your body catch up to your mind. πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈβœ¨

After that, we will head to Cotton Branch Refuge Project for animal assisted therapy time with our pigs. There is something powerful about being with animals who do not need you to perform, explain, or push through. You get to breathe, slow down, and feel safe again, even if it has been a long time. 🐷🀍

And a huge thank you to the SC Horror Convention for sponsoring all refreshments. πŸ–€

Tickets
Early Bird: $39.99
Regular: $59.99

Capacity is limited to 30.

If your nervous system has been running on survival mode, consider this your invitation to reset, restore, and reconnect. πŸ’›πŸŒ™

We wanted to share something that felt important to name 🀍 As the Monks for Peace passed through our area on their walk from Dallas Fort Worth to Washington, D.C., we had the chance to witness their presence in our small towns. We are not affiliated with any specific religious tradition, but the intention behind their walk spoke directly to the heart of our work. Peace matters. It always has, and it matters now more than ever 🌍

For us, peace means creating space for healing between humans and animals. It means recognizing trauma, responding with compassion, and committing to care that is slow, intentional, and rooted in dignity. This year, our mission is expanding to include mental health services for humans, because peace does not stop at rescue. It continues through support, access, and the opportunity for people to heal alongside the animals they care about πŸ•ŠοΈ

Our long standing work has always focused on creating peace for animals who have experienced harm and instability. Offering them safety, consistency, and the freedom to simply exist without fear. As our mission grows, so does our understanding that human healing and animal healing are deeply connected. When we invest in peace for one, we create more peace for the other πŸ’›

This is not a religious endorsement. It is a shared value. We believe that anyone, from any background or belief system, who is actively working toward peace deserves support and respect. Thank you to those who walk for peace, work for peace, and choose peace even when the world feels divided. Thank you to our Cotton Branch family for continuing to hold space for compassion, healing, and a more peaceful future 🀍

Until further notice…

Every meaningful change starts the same way. Someone decides to take one small step instead of standing still. That choice matters more than perfection, timing, or having it all figured out. Wherever you are right now is enough to begin. Take the step. We’ll take it together. πŸ’›βœ¨
