Just a stylist giving DIY hair & makeup tutorials 💇🏼
I think it was late 90’s-early 2000’s (somewhere in there) that we were butterfly clipping our zigzag parted hair. 🫠
I was in high school from 94-97 then finished Cosmetology school in 2000 and I think this style or variations is applicable to most of the years I just mentioned.

I don’t love to take hair selfies but I love this style and wanted to document it in photos.
Tutorial of these pixie curls coming soon! 🤍🐝
I’m still learning how to best use the Rovy Compact on my pixie, but I think I’m getting better with each use.
A few things I’ve learned so far:
- flip it upside down (TYMO name on bottom) for short hair
- after you clamp, rest the waver on your head instead of holding it straight out from your head
-if you clamp then slide, it relaxes the waves
-you can wave a section more than once, just comb it first and hold tension before you clamp
If you need anything I’m using here, type wave and I’ll send you the Iinks. 🤍🐝
Short haired girls want waves too!
Type Wave if you need my lil waving iron. 🤍🐝
Curly or straight, the Wavytalk Cool Curl Pencil does both.
I always start with a light mist of hairspray for extra hold and heat protection.
The slim barrel is perfect for creating defined ringlets on my pixie. Just clamp at the base, rotate, and glide away from the scalp. For fringe, clamp horizontally at the base, turn the iron vertically, and pull through.
I love how easily it lifts my roots, and the 360° airflow helps set the curl while keeping my fingers away from the heat.
With 5 heat settings, it works on everything from fine to coarse hair. If you have coarse hair, smooth first, then add your curls.
The slim barrel also makes it easy to straighten, smooth, or curl even my shortest layers right from the roots.
That’s why I keep reaching for the Wavytalk Cool Curl Pencil.
Type Cool if you need the Iink! 🤍🐝
I can tell you this!…I never get hate from happy people.
I hope you all have a happy Sunday, even you Carol!! 🤍🐝
A couple of fringe twists for your pixie.
Take a section
twist from base to ends
give the twist a push toward the scalp
secure hair just past the little twist fluff you created.
These twists are a really cute way to get your hair out of your face.
