Not every job is about construction.

Sometimes it’s about helping a family during one of the hardest days of their lives.

Last week, we were called to assist with something unlike our typical work. A fellow blue-collar worker had passed away unexpectedly. His family discovered he had thoughtfully purchased a 25,000-pound mausoleum, but they were left with the challenge of getting it into place before the funeral.

Our role was simple. Using hydro excavation, we carefully removed the soil beneath the mausoleum so lifting straps could be safely positioned underneath. Once complete, the crane crew was able to lift and set it into its final resting place.

It’s a reminder that the work we do isn’t always about utilities, pipelines, or construction projects. Sometimes the tools and skills we’ve spent years developing become part of something much more meaningful.

We’re grateful we could play a small part in helping a family honor someone who spent his own life working with his hands.

Pinpoint & Pothole in action!

The customer had a good idea of where the electrical conduits were located, but after multiple potholes at 6-8ft deep, time and money were being wasted chasing the exact location via Hydrovac Hopscotch.

They opted for our Pinpoint & Pothole Program. We pushed a transmitter through a nearby manhole, traced the line a couple hundred feet, and found the exact dead end of the pipe stubbed out for future building.
