We made it… school’s out, the kids are home, and someone is already asking for snacks every 7 minutes 😅 Memorial Weekend is here and summer officially feels like it’s kicking off. Just a little pretty for your Friday...downtown Charleston you were a dream. these locations are just so stunning.

I’ve been leaning more into at-home sessions lately, and honestly… it just feels right. Summer looks like wet hair, kids running through the sprinkler, pool days that turn into evening, popsicles on the back steps, and everything a little unplanned. Nothing styled. Nothing forced. Just your family, in your space, the way it actually is.

At Amber’s retreat, we even shot a session like this… simple, at home, that easy barefoot kind of vibe. It reminded me how much I love photographing families this way. These are the moments that stick. The ones that feel like you when you look back on them, and they always feel so inspiring to me. It makes me want to shoot more of them.

A few days in Charleston filled with good people, real conversations, a lot of laughter, and the kind of inspiration that sticks with you long after you leave.

There’s just something so special about a mama with her babies. Watching the way they settle into her, the way she just knows them, it’s always my favorite part of these sessions. No big posing. No pressure. Just real moments as this new season of life begins. And if you look closely… you might spot the sweet kitty in the back.
