Finally able to post about and wow wow wow! I’ve been missing out on the interior design industry events because well life but I’m so happy asked me to be an ambassador for such an incredible thing she’s putting together. To be apart of the 2nd annual Case Conference lets me know that I’m right where I need to be. I’ve been trying to search my emotions but let me just leave yall with this, when I launched Ivyleaf Interior 6 years ago, I just wanted one person to find my work inspiring. I just wanted one person to say “I love your work” and now, well, it’s so many of you constantly checking in on me, liking my work and hyping me up in ways I couldn’t imagine. What once started with an idea grew into something deeper. I found my God-given talent and most of us pray to make a living off our passions. I’m just thankful to be here, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and you’ll be seeing more of me! Shoutout to all of my fellow designers making MAJOR moves. I see you 👀

Maaaaannnn, I miss the era we grew up in. I miss the 90s and the 2000s, the 2006-2014 Atlanta, what a time. I miss sitcoms and I miss Will Smith and Martin in their prime. Geniuses. I miss the Jamie Foxx show and Moesha. I miss the Cosby show. A different world. And even Everybody Hates Chris. I miss the time we all came up in. We’re all adults now and boy is life hitting us so hard but we still showing up with style and grace because Biggie told us too. I miss the skating rink, the bar hop scene in East Andrews/Buckhead bars. I miss seeing OutKast in Atlanta that one last time. You had to be there. I miss so much of the life that once was. And as I sit here listening to my girl Cleo Sol, things will get better. It’s apart of life. Millennials, this post is for you! What do you miss from our childhood?

Did anyone catch Nike’s “So Win” Super Bowl commercial? It was the first ad they’ve aired in like 20something years and it paid tribute to only female athletes! It was beautifully narrated by Grammy Award winner Doechii with Whole Lotta Love playing in the background. As women, we must show up. We must continue to take over. We must remember who we are because in this world, you can’t be demanding, you can’t be relentless, you can’t put yourself first, you can’t be confident, you can’t challenge, you cant dominate or flex, you can’t be emotional, you can’t take credit, you can’t speak up, you can’t be ambitious, you can’t be brave, you can’t win, but at the end of the day, the day gotta end, so win!

Year 6 of my little baby of a business is this week and I can’t believe I started this interior design company on a wing and a prayer 6 years ago! I’m more than halfway through a decade with an idea that I grew out of my head, with 3 short weeks. This week, I’ll go on live and discuss how Ivyleaf became the little leaf that could. I’m so proud of her. So proud of the organic relationships I’ve built in these years. But now Im ready for more. I was laying dormant for a while but it’s time to win. So let’s win
