Let's meet our speaker for this month: Prof. Misty Bentz
Prof. Bentz obtained her PhD from The Ohio State University in 2007. After her PhD, she joined UC Irvine as a postdoctoral researcher, and received the NASA Hubble Fellowship in 2009. She Joined in 2010 as a faculty member and has been the recipient of multiple awards, including the GSU Outstanding Faculty Achievement Award. She is a world-renowned expert on supermassive black holes and will be giving a talk on this fascinating topic.

Time to get to know our speaker for this month Dr. Jeremy Maune π¨βπ«
Dr. Jeremy Maune received his Bachelor's degree in physics from Western Kentucky University (2007) and Masters in Physics and PhD in Astronomy from GSU (2014). After a gap year spent teaching (and helping develop) physics labs at Agnes Scott, I returned to GSU as a visiting lecturer (2015), then was ultimately hired on a permanent faculty in 2017. He reached the rank of senior lecturer in 2021 and now serves as the department's associate undergraduate director and faculty advisor to the Society of Physics students.
