Grateful to celebrate another year’s achievements, and even more thankful for my amazing clients! Five years ago when I launched into real estate full time, I had my eyes squarely on some very specific goals, most of which were (and still are) attached to a better life for my boy. I remember having to take Kel with me to work during certain holiday breaks because I couldn’t get off and promising myself that I’d change things for us when I became an entrepreneur. He never complained. Never asked for much. He was happy to tag along with whatever I was doing, like he was supposed to be there. 💙

Reflecting on my first few years in real estate, I had to make some tough choices and tremendous sacrifices to build my business. Sometimes that meant missing Kel’z activities or not being able to commit to certain things he would have otherwise been participating in. I used to feel so much guilt—after all—the whole point was to be more available—but I knew what I was doing would ultimately lead better opportunities for him.

Fast forward to yesterday and Kelz had several really important activities (one of which we still missed), and as much as I would’ve loved to dance the night away with my colleagues—Sis bowed out. 🥱😴

On the way home last night, exhausted, Kelz asked me “So what are you going to do this evening? Isn’t there some place you wanted to go? Ya know, just to hang out and enjoy yourself?” (*context- he got the biggest kick out of me hanging out, dressing up, and enjoying my birthday week🥹) I told him I was missing the Top Producer’s gala…he says 😮 “Mommy! You should get dressed and go!” Me: “Boy, I’m going to bed!”😂😂😂 I’m so glad I took these pics in my gown…

Cheers to 5 years, the freedom to choose, and to say “no” when needed. (See yawl next year! 😆) The next 5 will look very different from the last 5, and we are leaning into what God has for US—full throttle!!! Let’s go!!!🙌🏾🥂

Congratulations to my wonderful client and friend on the purchase of her adorable bungalow!! Meticulously kept and turn-key, it was exactly what she wanted and in the neighborhood she wanted to be in. She’s been working on getting prepared for over a year. We met for lunch about a year and a half ago and that essentially served as her Buyer consultation. She followed her plan and knocked out all of her goals + took some key advice I gave her about strengthening her finances and the ever evolving market.

Last year this time, I was still recovering from that 5-letter word we all have come to know so well and say too often.🙄 I wasn’t expecting to start 2021 STILL dealing with the remnants (or to still be dealing with some of them now🙃..‘cause this periodic fogginess and fatigue is in the way!!), but I’m so grateful that God brought me through it.

Sometimes He will take the worst of situations to force you to focus. It forced me to hone my craft, perfect my skills (even when I was on empty and didn’t feel like it) and pound the pavement harder than ever.

I’m proud to say it was an amazing year for me and my wonderful clients. God REALLY showed out in my business and I’ve just been taking it all in. The biggest blessing is watching my clients enjoy their new homes during the holidays, while also enjoying mine!😭🙏🏾

It’s amazing what God will do in the midst of your focus if you let him. 🙌🏾 Thank you to all of my amazing clients for trusting me to be a part of your dreams!

How it started 👉🏾How it’s going

This sweet little 5 month old face (and the pot belly😆) + God’s grace are what kept me during one of the most tumultuous times in my life.

Christmastime is my absolute favorite time of the year! My family always went ALL OUT—it was truly magical my entire childhood. 💫

But on my baby’s first Christmas, it felt like anything but magic. I imagine it is what being swept up by a tornado must feel like. My whole world was upside down. I put his little holiday pj’s on and grabbed these shots with my phone. No fancy photo shoots. No gifts and glittery trees in the background.

I didn’t know what God had in store, but I trusted and prayed. It was literally all I felt I could do or control in that moment. Kelz Godparents—who I am forever indebted to🙏🏾— glued me back together with love, grace, and prayer (and a little bit of 👑🥃🤣).

I was SO glad he was too young to remember, and I vowed to myself it was the first and last Christmas that would be that way.

And here we are…believe me, we don’t look like what we’ve been through!!! As my grandma Boo would say, “He ‘sho brought us a mighty mighty long way!”

If you’re going through, keep pushing. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Please!! 🙏🏾 Don’t give up!! I PROMISE YOU—He will give you double for your trouble!!

Because Lord knows, life will try to make you forget sometimes. But I’m grateful for it ALL!

This year has brought peaks and valleys, but I made it, and I’m excited to close this year out strong! 💪🏾 I think this year’s journey for me was learning a different level of patience with people (and processes), learning to give more grace to people (even the ones who came for me, not knowing I was on assignment to help them! 🤕😇), and really just breathing through it and surrendering more of my business to God. (Because believe me, I was putting the WORKS with the FAITH on 1,000 this year 🏡🏃🏾‍♀️💨)

I’m going to come a little further out of my shell in 2022 yawl, I promise!🐢🤣 (I like my shell…it’s quiet and comfy!🤷🏾‍♀️🤣) But people need me, and I’m on assignment….soooooo…cheers to obedience!!! 🥂🍾 Leggooooooo
