MAP MONDAY: CHINA 🇨🇳

Today, we’re traveling to China, a country with thousands of years of history, incredible inventions, and traditions known around the world!

Here are a few fun facts to explore:

🧱 The Great Wall of China
The Great Wall is actually a vast network of walls and fortifications built and rebuilt over many centuries. Altogether, its sections stretch thousands of miles across northern China!

🎆 The Birthplace of Fireworks
Fireworks were invented in China, developing from early experiments with gunpowder. They eventually spread to other parts of the world and became part of celebrations everywhere.

📖 An Early Printing Pioneer
China was printing books centuries before Gutenberg. The famous Diamond Sutra, dated to 868 A.D., is one of the world's earliest surviving dated printed books.

🐼 Everybody Loves a Panda!
The giant panda is actually a bear, despite years of scientific debate about how it should be classified. Native to China, it has become one of the country's most recognizable animals.

🎉 A Day Just for Kids
June 1 is International Children's Day in China, when many schools and communities hold special activities and celebrations for children.

The Falabella is an Argentine breed of miniature horse. These little horses are known for their remarkably small size—some aren't much bigger than a large dog!

Argentina is the birthplace of the tango, a dance and musical tradition that developed along the Río de la Plata and became famous around the world.
