The Amazon represents over half of the planet’s remaining rainforests. It comprises the largest and most biodiverse tropical rainforest in the world with 390 billion trees and over 16,000 species of trees. Not including all of the animals and insects. .
Right now the forests, animals, unique species, medicinal plants, trees that are hundreds and thousands of years old, land that is sacred and irreplaceable and are the lungs of the earth are being burned 🔥🔥🔥They are being burned because of politics. Because of selfish government laws. Because of money. Because of money hungry people who are cutting down these forests so they can grow cattle to sell meat. They are destroying the most beautiful, unique, exotic, and bio diverse land this earth has. I’ve always dreamt of traveling to the Amazon, from the time I was a little girl. And right now it’s burning. .

The most beautiful thing I’ve discovered about this place (specifically about the resort we are currently at) is that they don’t serve single-use plastic straws.

It’s amazing to see such a huge hotel such as NOT serving plastic straws to the thousands of tourists that funnel through here every week 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 When our oceans are already polluted, every little bit counts when you know you’re not adding to that pollution! One of my goals for this platform is to promote love and appreciation for this earth. It provides us with life and so much goodness. I think we should all make an effort to treat it with respect and do what we can to give back ❤️

I can’t quite contain my excitement for this place! We drove 14 miles from our apartment (and summer weather) up the mountain and into a winter wonderland. I think I can get used to this ❄️❄️❄️ shoutout to the girl in sandals and her friend visiting from California who took this photo 😂

Within the past 2 weeks, Michael and I have moved our life across the country, he started a new job, and I flew back to the east coast to shoot a wedding. It’s been exhausting, stressful at times, but most of all full of excitement and hope! I am so thankful for the opportunity to move to a new state and for those who put their trust in me to capture meaningful moments in their lives. I have 3 sets of photos to edit and can’t wait to get them ready to deliver!
