We wanted to take a moment to explain how rescue actually works.
Every day we receive dozens of messages, tags, and comments asking us to save dogs in need. We understand those requests come from a place of concern, and we wish we could say yes to every single one.
But rescue isn’t magic.
We are a foster-based rescue. We don’t have a shelter, kennels, or a building full of empty space waiting for the next dog. Every animal we save requires a foster home, funding, veterinary care, supplies, transportation, and volunteers.
One of the most common responses we hear when we say we don’t have a foster available is:
“Can’t you just find one?”
Trust us—we’re trying.
If finding fosters were easy, rescues across the country wouldn’t be turning away animals every day due to lack of space and resources.
The reality is that the most helpful thing you can do when advocating for a dog isn’t simply tagging a rescue. It’s helping create a path to yes.

Meet Dove 🤍
Dove is a 4-year-old lovebug with the sweetest soul and so much love to give. She’s potty trained, crate trained, knows all her basic commands, and is amazing with kids.
She loves short walks, cozy snuggles, and simply being close to her people. Dove has been an absolute sweetheart in her foster’s home. She’s affectionate, confident, easygoing, and always ready to brighten your day.
She’s the kind of dog that makes a house feel like home. Now she just needs someone to give her the forever family she deserves. 🐾

Bruce has 10 days left before he loses his foster home and we have nowhere for him to go. 💔
If he is not fostered or adopted by May 31st, our only option is sending him to board and train with so he has somewhere safe to stay for 5 weeks.
The cost is $6,200 — and we do NOT have those funds.
So right now, we urgently need ONE of three things:
• A foster
• An adopter
• Donations toward his board and train (peachstaterescue.org/donate)
Bruce was saved from the euthanasia list at Bartow County Animal Control 6 months ago. Everyone fought for him then, but now he’s being forgotten.
He is a good dog.
